To family and friends, Serafino was “Gus.” When Gus decided to buy the existing Drolett’s Drug Store in the village of Richland, MI, fifty plus years ago, true to Italian male nature, he named it after himself! You got a problem with that? The name has remained through owners Jim and Jay, two of Gus’s sons, and with present day owners Jim and Barb Gesmundo.
Gus, being a man of vision, saw a need for more of a party store vs. drug store for the quaint village, so the corner became and remains Serafino’s Party Store. Since 1961 Serafino’s has specialized in beverages including wine , beer, liquor, liqueurs, sodas, and a lot of stuff to go with them. Beverages from over 35 countries find their way into the store. Browse our wines from around the world, pick a six of Michigan craft brews, choose from over 420 different kinds of beers, ales, and malted beverages.
Maybe you need to set up a bar for a special event — we can do that also. Whether you want to chat with us about rye vodka or your kids' latest accomplishments, getting to know you and of course what you like to drink is what it's all about! Just so you know: if we don't have what you're looking for we will do our best to get it for you. Did you know we also make gift baskets, provide off-premises beverage catering, and still sell a variety of daily newspapers, specialty glassware, and cigars?
Today the number and choices of beverages available to the consumer is overwhelming. We physically don’t have the space to stock all of what we would like to offer you. So we have to be selective. Though limited in space, we still strive to provide the area with the best variety of beverages our store can hold, and the superior personalized customer service to go along with them.
